For help guildies to know ahead of time how many gloves they need scratch for upgrade their uniques items when they have finaly won the bid king : here a little resume :

Upgrade % Success/Break nb gloves needed cost if 1 glove = 2$ cost if 1 glove = 5m
+1 99-100% / 0% 0 free free
+2 99-100% / 0% 0 free free
+3 81.4% / 18.6% 1 (+1) 2$ 5m
+4 64.9% / 35.1% 3 (+2) 6$ 15m
+5 48.4% / 51.6% 5 (+2) 10$ 25m
+6 31.9% / 68.1% 8 (+3) 16$ 40m
+7 19.8% / 80.2% 13 (+5) 26$ 65m
+8 11.0% / 89.0% 22 (+9) 44$ 110m
+9 3.3% / 96.7% 52 (+30) 104$ 260m
+10 2.2% / 97.8% 97 (+45) 194$ 485m

These data are only probability : meaning u can get thoses upgrades with fewer try if ur lucky, and in the same way u can use more gloves if ur unlucky
(as personal example : i used 21 gloves for make my weapon +9 to +10 (=lucky : <45) and used 86 gloves by trying to upgrade my armor +9 to +10 which finaly stayed to +9 only after given up (=unlucky >45))

1x +10 = ~2x +9 = ~4x +8 !
So make sure to upgrade ur armor all +8 before trying make ur weapon +9 or +10 !

btw +1 and +2 is not 100%. A couple of people in guild broke at +1 and 2 for white/green.

And just incase if your gonna upgrade your uniques, if you break unique, ur not getting it back. Circa broke his unique katar and the gm isnt giving it back to him(although not even at +1 or +2).

Ok, even if I have never broken myself anything at +1 or +2...
I will suggest from now : they are not 100% safe

Did u know the % of breaking for +1 or +2 ?
And +1 is really not safe ?

Mean they don't even want say if +1 is safe or not Rolling Eyes , so i will accept from now the information about it can break and use a glove during all upgrades for my next Unique from now...
